Syngenta Canada earns Alberta Top Employer title for the second year

Guelph, Ontario, Canada

Syngenta Canada, a leading agricultural innovation company, has once again been recognized as one of Alberta’s Top Employers, earning the prestigious title for the second consecutive year. Presented by Canada’s Top 100 Employers, the award celebrates organizations that go above and beyond to create outstanding workplace environments where employees can thrive.

Syngenta Canada is one of just 85 companies across the province to receive this recognition, reinforcing its reputation as an employer of choice in Alberta’s competitive job market.

“We are thrilled to be named one of Alberta’s Top Employers,” says Shaun Vey, president of Syngenta Canada, based at the organization’s Calgary office. “This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to our employees. We want to attract the best people, support them in their career development, and foster a progressive and inclusive workplace.”

The Syngenta team includes more than 60 employees in Alberta, in roles spanning information technology, research and development, human resources, marketing, and sales. Nationally, the company employs over 320 people across nine provinces, working collaboratively to advance Canadian agriculture.

This award is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team,” says Stacey Redford, head of human resources for the organization. “It reinforces our belief that investing in our people is the key to driving innovation and success in the agricultural sector.”

Top employer award recipients are evaluated on eight criteria: physical workplace; work atmosphere and social, health, financial and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills development; and community involvement.

Canada’s Top Employers highlighted Syngenta Canada for its people-first culture, focus on employee development, and comprehensive benefits, including:

  • Six weeks of paid vacation available for all employees immediately upon hire, underscoring the company’s commitment to employee health and wellness
